I didn’t land on this setup because it looks good — although, yes, it does — but because it genuinely supports my working day and helps me stay focused.
This is what I’ll be covering in my 2026 work from home setup:
- A FlexiSpot desk and chair combo
- My current monitor setup
- A BenQ ScreenBar light
- The keyboard and mouse I use every day
- A desk mat and wireless charger
So, let’s dive into what I’m using.
The Desk & Chair I Use Every Day

It took me a while to get the right desk and chair for my setup, but this FlexiSpot combo was worth the wait.
The desk I use is the Flexispot e7 Pro Standing Desk and there are a couple of reasons why this desk worked for me. Firstly, there are the obvious health benefits of using a standing desk. Being able to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day encourages movement and helps break up long periods of sitting.
Another big win is the size of the desk. This is great if you are working with a small space and don’t want a bulky setup taking over the room. It feels sturdy and spacious enough to work comfortably, but not so large that it makes the space feel cramped and cluttered. That balance alone makes it a place I actually want to work in, which really helps with focus.
For my chair, I am rocking the Flexispot C7 Premium Ergonomic Office Chair. This is something that I wish I had prioritised sooner. Having a chair that is comfortable and supportive really is a game changer.
This chair features a multi-zone back design with targeted support, along with an adjustable backrest height that can be positioned to your body. Having that adjustability makes a real difference when you’re sitting for long stretches, helping reduce strain and discomfort throughout the day.
Monitor Setup

Nothing complicated here — I keep things nice and simple with a single monitor setup. This hasn’t changed since I started on my desk setup journey.
I use an LG ultra wide 34in monitor, which I have had for about 4 years. The reason that I went for the ultra wide was so I can have multiple documents open at once, as I often need to compare multiple documents at a time.
I like this monitor with its slight curve and QHD UltraWide 1440p resolution. I would say getting a screen that has a high resolution is important, as it means that your screen will be clear and crisp. This is important when you are looking at a screen all day.
BenQ ScreenBar
I picked this up shortly after my monitor, and I am glad I did. I found this through getting sucked into desk setup videos, and it’s something that I could not do without now.
The BenQ ScreenBar sits on top of your monitor. This means that the light is balanced effectively between your screen and its surroundings, which traditional lamps don’t do.
The ScreenBar has real-time auto dimming, so it adjusts to the lighting in your room. Combining eye care technology with a minimalistic design makes this a must-have for me.
Keyboard and Mouse Combo

No setup is complete without a keyboard and mouse combo.
Let’s start with my keyboard, the Logitech MX Mechanical Mini. I love a mechanical keyboard, and this is a great option for anyone looking to give one a try. It provides a comfortable typing experience, which is important when you are typing for large parts of your working day.
Battery life is also good, and when you need to charge, you simply plug in the USB-C charging cable — no batteries needed. Because the charging port is on the top of the keyboard, you can charge it while you’re still using it.
It provides a lovely clicky noise when typing, which is what I enjoy most about these keyboards, but it’s also a good reason to leave it at home when venturing into the office.
Moving on to the mouse — again, it’s from Logitech, the MX Master — and this is simply the best mouse that I have used.
Its ergonomic design makes it comfortable for hours of use, which helps to reduce wrist pain. It has a couple of scroll wheels: one on the top, which allows you to change the scroll speed (including infinity scroll), and one on the side for horizontal scrolling.
You can use the Logitech software to personalise the buttons to what works for you. I have the MX 3, but the MX 4 has just come out, and I would really recommend investing in one.
Desk Mat and Wireless Charger
These two add to the aesthetics of my setup but are also practical additions.
The desk mat that I am using is from a Orbitkey and I went for the large version. It cover a bit section of my desk, protecting my desk from scratches as well as acting a mouse mat.
Unlike other desk mats that I have come across you can lift the top the mat to place bit of papers to keep you space clean and tidy. At the top it also has a raised groove to hold pens and a magnetic cable holder.
The other accessories that I have on my desk is a wireless charger from Anker. I like to have a charger on my desk so that I can charge my phone and my AirPods whilst I work. Always handy for a quick top up.
Final Thoughts
This setup has evolved over time, and it’s one that works well for me right now. It’s practical, comfortable, and doesn’t get in the way of my working day.
If you’re building or updating your own work from home setup, focus on what you’ll use every day — that’s where the biggest difference is made.
