Recently, I received the Benks Urban Magnetic iPad Case in white. So for the past couple of weeks, I have swapped my Logitech Case that I have been rocking for the Urban Magnetic iPad case, and it’s now time to share my thoughts with you. So in this post, I will be covering the following:
- Design
- Functionality
- Compatibility
So let’s dive into the review.
Design:
I really like the folio design that Benks have used for this iPad case. It rocks an origami-style design that is sleek and stylish. It is magnetic so attaches to your iPad nice and easily and its has a really firm attachment so once its on it is on. The case itself is made from premium PU (polyurethane) leather that provides you with maximum protection.
Inside the folio there is a microfibre lining which protects your iPad from scratches, keeping it in great condition. I particularly like the folio design as it protects the front and back which is great if you are carrying your iPad in a bag with other items.
Another pleasant touch is the pencil holder, although the Apple Pencil and Benks Pencil attach to your iPad via the magnets this helps keep it secure when it’s in a bag. This pencil holder is a bit of sleek leather that is magnetic so it just snaps into place keeping whatever type of pencil you use safely.
Functionality:
This is not only a sleek stylish magnetic iPad case, but it’s also very functional. There are four different angles that the folio case can be folded to create a stand.
- 57 degrees – This is perfect for watching content on your iPad.
- 62 degrees – Portrait Angel that is great for browser and reading recipes
- 34 degrees- Great for those of us who love drawing & writing
- 53 degrees – Provide a great angle for the use of a keyboard for working.
So as you can see, there is an angle for every scenario that you might want to use your iPad for. I particularly like the Portrait angle as I like to use my iPad for following recipes, so this is perfect for that.
The Urban Magnetic iPad Case also has an auto-sleep and wake function. This is great for conserving your battery, which is an issue that I have come across in other cases. This is achieved through smart built-in magnets.
So, when you are finished using your iPad, just close the folio case, and it will automatically put the iPad to sleep and vice versa, if you open it again it will wake your iPad ready to use again.
Compatibility:
The case is compatible with several iPads, ranging from the iPad Pro 2018 model to the latest and greatest. The case can also be used with the iPad Air 4-5th Generation to the 2024 models.
So you can have an older version of the iPad and still make the most of a stylish and practical case.
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for a sleek, compact and practical case at a reasonable price then this is a great option. This case comes in at £25.99 so it is super affordable and provides a great level of protection for your iPad.
You are not only getting protection when you buy this case but also the ability to have it in an angle that works best for the scenario that you’re using your iPad at that time.
It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a small fortune on a case.
