My latest Desk Set-up

The Desk

This is desk that I made myself using some left over oak worktop from when we had our Kitchen done. It sits nicely into the alcove of my spare bedroom (now referred to as the office) next to the window. I didn’t use any legs as I wanted a floating desk which I think looks great.

LG 34in UltraWide Monitor (Curved)

I recently upgrade this from a 28in Lenovo monitor (a good monitor) and OMG I love it. The screen real estate is amazing and is one of the favourite things for helping be more productivity. If you have a job that means you have multiple documents that you need open at once I highly recommend an ultra wide monitor.

Bontec single monitor arm

I previously had my monitor mount on the wall but after seeing other setups and size and weight of the new monitor I went for this monitor arm. Its very sturdy and provide plenty of space under the screen whether you like it clear or to put something else there.

Logitech MX Keys and MX Master 3 mouse

this was one thing I was unsure of getting as they are expensive but I can honestly say that I love them. Both the Keyboard and mouse can be linked to three device. As I have a Mac and Windows (work) I went for the MX keys which works on both brilliantly. Both can be configure using the Logi Options app so you can customised the buttons to what you want.

Amazon Echo Show

I added this to my set-up as I wanted to have a large clock that I could see to keep track of the time. I also use this to control my smart lighting and sometime listen to the radio.

Apple MacBook Pro 13in (2020)

This is what I use on a day to day basis and I love it. As you come to see I love apple products. This is not the M1 chip model but for what I use it for I don’t feel like I missing out and this is still a great laptop.I went for the smaller screen as I use a external screen and the cost difference to the 16in was quite a jump.

Vertical Laptop stand

I can’t remember the make of this stand but I got it off Amazon and it was not expensive. I can fit both my work and MacBook Pro into the stand comfortably and it save space on my desk.
