So the search for the best tech everyday carry for the office has led me to a new purchase the Logitech Keys to Go 2. I have tried several keyboards to date in an attempt to have an ergonomic and minimal in the office set-up. One of the key things about my office everyday carry is that it needs to be light. I don’t want to be carrying a heavy laptop bag with countless accessories so light and keeping it simple is my aim.
I have owned a number of Logitech Keyboards from the Mechanical Mini to the MX Keys Mini so when Logitech released this recently I had high hopes. In this post, I will cover off.

So let’s look into these in a bit more detail.
The Design:
When I saw the Logitech Keys to Go 2 I instantly loved the way that it looked and it made me really want to buy it. There are a few elements to the design that I like and they make this a really appealing portable/travel keyboard.
Keyboard Size:
I knew this was going to be small but when I unboxed it was a bit smaller than I was expecting. With a height of 250mm (25cm) and a depth of 105mm (10.5cm), you can see it is very compact making it perfect for packing up into your laptop bag. Having said that the size is perfect it does mean that it’s a bit more cramped compared to other portable keyboards that I have tried for taking into the office.
Built-in Protective Cover:
The Logitech Keys to Go 2 has a built-in protective cover that protects the keys when in your bag. When you need to use it you simply fold it back under the keyboard and you can type away. I think this is a great addition to any keyboard that is designed for travel, I know many a person has lost a key through putting their keyboard in their laptop bag. No more lost keys 😊
Aesthetics:
This is an aesthetically pleasing keyboard I feel like it looks more like a mini version of the MX Keys Mini. You also have the choice of 3 different colours Graphite, Pale Grey and Lilac. I went for the Graphite colour as I think it’s more in keeping with my setup for the office, also I feel that it’s more like to hide dirt and wear and tear better than the other two colours.
Build Quality
For a small portable keyboard, the Logitech Keys to Go 2 feels very well made and fairly premium. It is made from 36% post-consumer recycled materials and the keyboard brackets are made from low carbon aluminium. The keyboard feels solid and not like it’s going bend or break in your bag which for the price is what you would expect.
Connectivity & Compatibility:
As with most Bluetooth/wireless keyboards these days you can connect the Logitech Keys to Go 2 to up to 3 devices. This is always useful if you have multiple devices that you want to use your keyboard with. It is also easy to pair your devices by pressing down one of the 3 device buttons on the function row and then choosing Keys to Go in your Bluetooth menu on the device that you want to connect to.
Teheran keyboard is compatible with Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS. As I use this with my work laptop when I am in the office that is the only device that I have this paired with. You could however use this as your everyday keyboard if you wished (not sure I would recommend it) or you could use it with your iPad. I personally don’t as I already have the Magic Keyboard for my iPad but if you do have one this keyboard is a great alternative.
Battery Life:
Logitech claims that the battery on Keys to Go 2 will last a whopping 3 years with the pre-installed coin cell battery. So you are not going to worry about charging this up anytime soon which for a travel/portable keyboard is great as it is one less thing that you need to worry about charging. Now whether it lasts 3yrs we will have to wait and see but to be honest if it gets anywhere near that it’s happy days from my point of view.
Typing Experience:
This has to be the most important aspect of a keyboard for me and whether it is a travel keyboard makes no difference. For me and you who want to use it we want to provide a nice and comfortable experience to keep us using it. So what are my thoughts on the Logitech Keys to Go 2? Well, it’s OK it’s never going to be as good as my LoFree Flow Mechanical Keyboard but I was expecting to be more blown away with it.
The keys have a nice feel and bounce to them but for me, they seem a bit too close together. It makes my typing experience not as fluid as I would like it to be when I am working all day on my work laptop. This could be just a case of getting used to a new smaller keyboard and my typing does get better throughout the days as my fingers start working with it properly. So I will reserve full judgment on this one till I have used it a bit more to see if it’s just a it takes a bit of time situation or not.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great keyboard in so many ways, it’s well designed, relatively well priced at around the £80 mark and the battery life if it’s right is brilliant for a keyboard designed to go place with you. But I still have one question mark hanging over it for me and that can I get used to typing on it. This could be something that is personal to me and you might find that it’s amazing to type on, but just bear in mind that this is a very compact keyboard. You might take time to adapt to it.
But all in all, this is a great keyboard and a great addition to your in-the-office or travel everyday carry and well worth a look.
