Now, if you have read any of my phone reviews, you will have seen that I often mention that I don’t really get battery anxiety, yet here I am reviewing the Sharge ICEMAG 2 MagSafe Power Bank.
I hear you say, so why are you reviewing it then? Well, it’s simple. I may not get overly anxious about running out of battery, but there are still occasions where I do need to charge on the go. Also, they are a pretty cool piece of tech, and I genuinely wanted to try one out and see how it could fit into my day-to-day setup.

First Impressions 👀
I was impressed with the Sharge ICEMAG 2 MagSafe Power Bank as soon as I took it out of the box. Firstly, I loved the design — the sleek transparent design means that you can see the internals and cooling fan (a proper geeky look). And then there is the integrated kickstand, which is an added bonus and one that I have used more than I expected to.

When it came to using it for the first time, it felt solid and certainly didn’t feel cheap. It’s not overly heavy, and it sits nice and neatly on the back of your iPhone, so it doesn’t feel intrusive when it’s being used. The magnets are also pretty strong; the connection feels nice and secure straight away, so I had no worries about it slipping off.
Lastly, it could not be easier to use. There is no setup process or need to download an app. Simply attach it to your iPhone and start charging. The LED indicators are clear and intuitive, making it easy to see how much charge the Sharge ICEMAG 2 has left at a glance.
Using the ICEMAG 2 Day to Day 📱
I have been using the Sharge ICEMAG 2 daily, and this is where I have found it to be most useful.
As a convenient backup, I’ve been using the Sharge ICEMAG 2 Power Bank as an occasional extra rather than something I rely on daily. With its 10,000 mAh capacity, it’s useful to have nearby for a quick top-up on days when I’m using my phone more than usual, particularly when I’m working at my desk.
At my desk, it’s easy to snap it on for a short charge without rummaging for my charging brick and cable, which is especially handy when I’m working in the office and just want a simple, no-fuss top-up. If I need to charge faster, it also supports up to 30W wired charging via USB-C, providing added flexibility.

When I’m out and about, it’s small and portable enough to slip into a pocket or bag and pull out when needed. It really comes into its own on longer days, where a quick boost is all I need to comfortably get through without worrying about finding a plug.
Charging & Battery Experience 🔋
One of the main reasons that I was keen to try the ICEMAG 2 was because of the cooling fan that they have integrated in. I have always found that with wireless charging stands, they can get a bit on the hot side, so I was intrigued to see if this cooling fan would really work.
I can safely say that after using it, it does keep cool. I’m not saying that it stops heating completely, but it does keep it noticeably cooler than other wireless devices that I have used. One thing about the fan is that it’s not silent, but after a while, you don’t even notice it, and it just gets on with its job of keeping the power bank nice and cool.
I have found the 15W Qi2 wireless charging to be more than quick enough for me, which is thanks to the Qi2 certification that provides faster MagSafe wireless charging (twice as fast as the previous standard).
You should roughly get a full iPhone charge and a few additional top-ups out of the Sharge ICEMAG 2 before having to charge it back up. It doesn’t take long to fully recharge the power bank, taking about 1.5 hours before you are ready to go again.
What I like (And What to Be Aware of) 👍⚠️
I really like this power bank; it does what it says on the tin.
What I like:
- The fan keeps it cool and comfortable
- MagSafe Magnet are strong
- Built in stand is a great adding bonus for watch content etc.
- It just works out of the box no setup required
Oh, and did I mention it looks super cool?
That’s not to say it’s 100% perfect — there are a couple of things to bear in mind.
Things to be aware of:
- The fan does make some noise
- You are not going to multiple full chargers on a full charge
But let’s be honest — these are minor issues for a power bank of this size and at this price point.
Final Thoughts
Would I buy this again? Yes, I would — and that surprised me a little. I still don’t really suffer from battery anxiety, but the Sharge ICEMAG 2 has shown me where a MagSafe power bank can genuinely fit into my day-to-day carry without any fuss.
If you’re someone who worries about running out of battery when you’re out and about, but don’t want to carry something bulky or spend a fortune, this is well worth a look. It’s not about constant charging or squeezing every last percentage — it’s about having a simple backup there when you need it.
What I like most is that it doesn’t feel like I’m packing for the worst. It’s small, easy to carry, and only gets used when it needs to. It’s certainly changed how I feel about carrying a power bank, and it no longer feels like I’m taking the kitchen sink with me every time I head out.
If you’ve been on the fence about carrying a power bank and want something simple for occasional top-ups, this one makes sense. I’ve linked the Sharge ICEMAG 2 below if you want to take a closer look.
