The Ultimate Review of Hexcal 4 in 1 Wireless Charging Station

Are you looking for a new practical Wireless Charger? Well, I might have just the charger for you.

I recently received the Hexcal 4 in 1 Wireless Charger to add to my bedside table setup, and after a couple of weeks, I have some thoughts to share with you on;

  • The Design
  • Features
  • Charging Speeds
  • Price

And finally, the question you are all asking or reading this review for, is it worth spending your money on?

So let’s not beat about the bush and let’s dive straight into it 👇

Design:

The Hexcal 4 in 1 Wireless Charger has a very compact and portable design. When I say compact, I mean it’s small (73.5mm x 72mm x 72mm), it’s not going to take up lots of space on your desk or bedside table and great if you are looking to declutter your space. Its size also makes this a great charger to take with you when you are travelling, as it’s not going to take up loads of space in your bag.

It has quite a unique look for a charger as it looks like a little lamp, and there is a reason for this, which I will cover in the next section. It has a detachable Apple Watch charging puck, which tucks away in the bottom of the charger itself to maintain that compact design. I have found that with the puck that you put your charger on being low that my Apple Watch has slipped off a couple of times, so make sure that you have it on securely.

Features:

This is a 4-1 Wireless Charging Station, so what are those 4 things

  • Charging Your iPhone
  • Charging Your Apple Watch
  • Charging Your AirPods
  • An Ambient Lighting Option

So the first 3 on the list are nothing new, there are plenty of other chargers out there. I like that they have added something different to what I have come across with the light. You have two lighting options (Warm or Cool Mode) that you can choose from by touching the light symbol on the side of the charger.

Like with other combo charging stations, you also get an adjustable phone stand. This has a 0–65° adjustable angle so that you can get the phone in the best position for you.

Charging:

It is not going to charge your device super fast, but it is decent. I charge my devices overnight so they are always charged and ready to go for the day. But what are the charging speeds?

  • iPhone up to 15W
  • Apple Watch up to 2.5W
  • AirPods up to 3W

The Hexcal 4 in 1 Wireless Charging Station comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable in the box, but no wall charger. So, as with most things, now you will need to have one already (which most of us do); it doesn’t need to be a super duper wall charger, it just needs to be able to support an input of 9V/3A or 9V/2A (recommended).

Pricing:

This is still going to set you back $69, which is roughly £54. I think it is priced OK as it has a solid build and is multifunctional, and is perfect for travelling.

If you look at other quality-made chargers like one of my other favourites, the Journey 3 in 1 charger, which is priced at £109, it’s a bit of a steal.

Final Thoughts:

This is a great charger for travelling and for people who want to keep their space decluttered. Hexcal has made a well-built charging station that feels really premium, which is going to last you.

There is the point that the Apple Watch can slip off if you are not careful where you place it. This is annoying, but you get used to it. I haven’t had this with a bigger charger, so this is one of the trade-offs of having a really compact charger.

It’s not the quickest of chargers out there, but it does what it says on the tin and is well priced in my opinion. So why not check it out if you are in the market for a new charging station?
