Spigen Ultra S Hybrid – Best Clear Case For iPhone

Introduction

As much as I would like not to be able to rock a case on my phone, it’s a must. For me, this is the first thing I buy for my new phone, and my go-to in recent years has been a case from Spigen. I have recently started to go for a clear case and this is mainly because I want to be able to see the lovely colour that I have chosen for my phone.

So when I got my new iPhone 15 Pro Max, I hit Amazon and found the Spigen Ultra Hybrid S Magfit case, and I have had it on my phone ever since. So why buy this case lets take a look at some key points to consider when making your decision to buy or not.

So let to take a deeper look at each of these and see if this is the best clear case for your iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone for that matter.

Design

There are a couple of things to discuss here. First up, it’s a clear case with a white MagSafe circle on the back (you can choose other colours for the MagSafe Ring). As it is made from Polycarbonate it is nice and durable.

It has raised bezels around the camera and screen to protect it from drops as well as scratching when you put your phone down on the table. The action and volume buttons are all covered with what they call new tactile buttons which are very responsive. We also have slightly textured sides which provide that extra bit of grip.

The worry with clear cases is that they can tend to yellow a bit with time, but as these cases are made with Infused with blue resin, I haven’t found that to be the case with any of the Spigen cases that I have owned.

Air Cushion Technology

Protection is the main reason that we all buy cases for our phones. The Ultra Hybrid S Magfit is made with Military-grade drop protection via Air Cushion Technology.

On each of the corners of the case, you will see that there are little squares that act like airbags protecting your phone from any everyday drops that might occur. I have dropped my phone and I can say that there was no damage.

MagSafe Compatibility

if you own an iPhone then having a case that is MagSafe compatible is essential. I wirelessly charge my phone every night so having a case that is going to work with my charger is a must. With Spigen Magfit design, this case snaps onto my wireless charger with ease and now has 54% stronger magnets, so it is not going to be going anywhere.

This is also great news for those of us that use MagSafe accessories like wallets or power banks. All of these accessories will work perfectly with this case. 

Kickstand

This is new to the design, but I wanted to cover it in its section. On the back of the case, there is a kickstand that you can pull out and close flush. Spigen says that you can get 10,000 uses out of this kickstand.

You can use it both horizontally and vertically so you can position the phone to suit whether you are watching content or reading a recipe for instance. I have found this to be pretty useful especially when the small human steals it to watch YouTube Kids.

Price

Now you can spend a small fortune on cases these days but this case is very reasonably priced for what you get. You can pick this up on Amazon for under £30 which is great value for the amount of use you are likely to get.
