With working from home more, I have invested more in my desk setup to make it a comfortable and fun working environment. So, I decided to collate a list of the 5 best desk accessories I have bought and used in my setup.

BenQ Screen bar
This is one of my favourite accessories, the BenQ Screenbar, which I have been rocking for nearly two years now. The Screenbar sits on top of your monitor and plugs into your monitor using a USB cable, which provides power for the Screener.
It is dimmable, so you can adjust the light’s brightness and warmth. The Screenbar also has a real-time auto-dim feature, automatically adjusting to the lighting around you. This provides ergonomic lighting so there is no direct light in the eyes; it also helps to avoid screen reflection and glare to provide a comfortable reading experience.
Logitech Webcam
Having a decent webcam for when I need to be on Video is essential as someone who spends a lot of time on Teams calls. The built-in webcams on laptops are not always the best, so with that, I decided to buy an external webcam.
There are many brands out there, but I recommend looking at Logitech’s C920 HD Pro Webcam; it is not the cheapest out there, but it is a trusted brand.

This is a lovely premium vegan leather mouse pad and desk organiser that really finishes off a desk setup. The Orbitkey Desk Mat keeps your desk safe from scratches and spills as it’s very durable, and the vegan leather is water repellent, so it can be easily wiped clean.
A feature that I love about this desk mat is that you can lift the top layer up to reveal a place to keep your loose papers to keep your desk nice and clear. This bottom layer is made from 100% recycled PET Felt.
At the top of the desk mat, you have a dedicated toolbar for you to store your stationary so that you have quick access to the bits that you need. Govee Smart Lamp
Although I have the BenQ Screenbar, I also like to have a lamp on my desk when it is damp and dark or if I am working on some blog post in the evening. I love the RGB lighting and that it can be controlled using my Amazon Alexa; it is also compatible with Google Home. So you can set a scene for any mood you might be in.

Ergonomic Foot Rest
This is an excellent addition to any desk setup. I make sure that my setup is as Ergonomic as possible, as I spend a lot of time working at my desk, as most of us do. This footrest has an adaptive design that can help improve your posture as the ergonomic foam supports your back and contours your feet.
The footrest has a machine washable velvet cover and is very durable. The material is flexible, so it grips to the memory foam and is less likely to rip and tear.

I have seen this coaster in several YouTube videos, and as well as them being very useful for keeping your desk from those dreaded watermarks, they also add a nice finishing touch. They are nice and cheap and just generally good to have around the house to help keep your furniture looking good.
